Liberal Democrat Regional Conference comes to Sheffield |
 Yorkshire & the Humber Liberal Democrats today held their Autumn Conference in Sheffield. The event brought together party members from across the region to the Sheffield Cathedral Conference Centre. By being held in this new venue right in the heart of the city it proved an excellent opportunity to showcase the city.

Cold comfort for local residents on post office closures - Clegg |
Following today's meeting between the Post Office and Sheffield City Council, the Post Office Ltd has confirmed that the 15 post offices earmarked for closure will still close. However, the Post Office Ltd is prepared to provide financial details on nine of the Post Offices so that the possibility of a local bail out plan can be examined.

Nick Clegg to be a father for the third time! |
 Nick Clegg and his wife Miriam Gonzalez Durantez are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child in February.
Nick Clegg said:
“Miriam and I are lucky to have two wonderful little boys, but we'd always hoped to have a third child. So we are thrilled to bits that next February, all being well, our sons will have a little brother or sister.”

 The Post Office has announced their hit list of the Post Offices they want to close in our area. Sheffield Hallam MP Nick Clegg is leading the campaign to save them.
The closures are part of a plan by the Labour Government to cut Post Office numbers across the country. This is on top of the 4,000 Post Offices they have already closed and the 3,500 closed by the previous Conservative Government.
